A little background on NLP
You may be wondering what NLP is. Neuro-Linguistics Programming can help identify limiting or negative behaviors and offer strategies to replace them with positive, empowering behavior. From the time we’re babies, our brains are constantly “programmed” and we end up responding in certain ways because of it. We're influenced by verbal and non-verbal cues around us—from our culture, families and communities—all influence the way we see ourselves and see others.
As your NLP coach, I’ll help you find these beliefs that live within your subconscious mind—often times, these beliefs or behaviors are the blocks to your success—and I can help you break through them and achieve your goals!

What is Hypnotherapy?
Clinical hypnotherapy has been around since the 1960s and is an approved method of therapy by the American Medical Association. Pretty neat, huh?
Hypnotherapy and hypnosis are different. In a hypnotherapy session, you're relaxed and your subconscious mind is primed to hear positive suggestions and cues that I weave into a custom script for you. You’re usually awake (some people relax so fully that they do fall asleep), but your subconscious mind will hear the suggestions and receive the message.
All custom hypnotherapy sessions are based on an initial goal-setting session, where we do some pre-work to make sure we uncover exactly what you want to address, in the way that most benefits you (each of us interprets information differently – I’ll create the best method for you). I’ll record the session and you’ll receive the recording to listen to each day for 30 days—for best results. I’m certified in two types of hypnotherapy – transpersonal through NATH and NLP hypnotherapy through the Society of NLP.
How many sessions are required to make a difference in my life? It depends if you are dealing with a behavior or a belief. Behaviors may only require 2-3 sessions - the goal-setting session, one life-coaching session with NLP and then hypnotherapy with a recording and 30 days of listening for your goal to resonate and become effective. Overcoming negative or long-standing beliefs may take longer, or you may decide to work on another facet of the issue. We’ll develop a plan that works for you—to get relief quickly and within your budget.
Do you work with children differently than with adults? Yes – kids may not be able to just close their eyes, relax and listen. We can use different words, play, whatever is age appropriate. I’m inspired to help kids with chronic illness. My daughter has to do multiple injections of insulin a day as a Type 1 diabetic. As a T1D parent and mentor, I know how scary injections and site changes can be, as well as coping with anxiety and burnout from a chronic illness. Let’s use NLP tools, hypnotherapy and the positive power of language together to make positive shifts for the entire family.
What is the role of the NLP lifecoach? My role is to act as a facilitator – the premise of several of these modalities is that the solutions to our problems usually lie within ourselves. I use training, tips and techniques to bring the solutions forward, to help positively impact your life.
